Australia's

 snow-gum

 forests are

 under threat.

 Current dieback reports

Decline and death of high-elevation forest communities, known as snow-gum dieback, is widespread throughout the Australian Alps. Although anecdotally linked to wood-boring longicorns, the drivers of snow-gum dieback remain unknown.

Our work focusses on understanding the phenomenon, mapping its extent and expansion, and predicting and mitigating the effects of future outbreaks
